Russians Anatoliy Yartsev/Evgeniya Kosetskaya created one of the biggest upsets of Day 2 beating Mixed Doubles 12th seeds Robert Blair/Imogen Bankier (Scotland), 23-21 21-15.

England’s Rajiv Ouseph gritted his way past Malaysia’s Chong Wei Feng after saving three match points in his Men’s Singles match: 17-21 24-22 21-16.

Australia’s Gronya Somerville/Jacqueline Guan enjoyed a comfortable win over Brazil’s Paula B Pereira/Lohaynny Vicente in their Women’s Doubles encounter: 21-15 21-14.

Indonesia had plenty of bad luck before the event started, but their Women’s Singles spearhead Lindaweni Fanetri scrambled past Nichaon Jindapon (Thailand), 15-21 21-13 21-9.
