As attention turns to the latter half of the season, the Badminton World Federation (BWF) is pleased to announce sport apparel and equipment company, Li-Ning, as title sponsor of the BWF World Championships 2014.

The year’s second BWF Major Event will be held 25-31 August at Ballerup Super Arena in Copenhagen, Denmark, with the title of World champion on the line in the traditional five disciplines: Men’s and Women’s Singles; Men’s and Women’s Doubles; and Mixed Doubles.

Li-Ning already has a four-year sponsorship deal for BWF Major Events running from 2013 to 2016, including the provision of Li-Ning top shuttlecocks and Li-Ning court mats for all Major Events during this cycle. In addition to that, Li-Ning has title-sponsored a number of badminton’s premier tournaments such as the recent Li-Ning BWF Thomas & Uber Cup Finals in India.

“BWF is pleased to welcome our corporate partners, Li-Ning, as title sponsor for another prestigious tournament which will feature the top names in badminton vying for the honour of being World champions,” said BWF Secretary General Thomas Lund.

The draw ceremony for the Li-Ning BWF World Championships 2014 will be held on Monday 11 August in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. Further details will be forthcoming at a later date.
