Who will the defending champions face in the first round and what are the potential blockbuster clashes in the upcoming BWF World Championships? All these questions will be answered next Monday – 22 July.
That’s when the draw ceremony takes place in the tournament’s host city, Guangzhou, in China. Media are invited to witness the draw at 3 p.m. (Guangzhou time) at the Chateau Star River, Haiyi Peninsula – the official Badminton World Federation (BWF) hotel for next month’s event.
There will also be some brief presentations, including an outline of rules and regulations for the draw and an analysis of the draw.
The proceedings will close with a question-and-answer segment.
The outcome of the draw will be posted on the BWF website as soon as possible thereafter.
The BWF World Championships 2013 will be held 5-11 August at Tianhe Indoor Gymnasium in Guangzhou.
